On January 30 and 31, Hispanic entrepreneurs in Florida’s southwest region (Naples area) had the opportunity to participate in business seminars and individual sessions with business consultants at no charge. Collaborating with local leaders, and in large part thanks to funds from the State of Florida, Prospera has visited this region several times in recent years to provide business guidance and resources to current and potential Hispanic business owners. This was Prospera’s first visit since it rebranded.
Individual consulting sessions were offered each day in Spanish and English. Monday’s seminar was an orientation for start-ups, covering topics such as licenses and permits, state regulations and financing options. Tuesday’s seminar focused on marketing through social media and digital media, presented by authorized provider Alex Rodriguez. Prospera was generously hosted by United Way of Collier County.
