Prospera is an economic development, nonprofit organization established in Florida in 1991. With offices in Orlando, Tampa, Miami, and Charlotte, NC, its mission is to help start, sustain, and grow Hispanic-owned businesses to achieve community prosperity.
Prospera’s services are especially designed for Hispanic small business owners, to empower them through entrepreneurial seminars in Spanish, individual consulting, grants for professional services, and access to capital. We leverage public and private funds, and complement the services that exist in Atlanta metro area’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. We collaborate with chambers of commerce and other economic development organizations to strengthen local businesses, foster job retention and creation, and generate more equity and prosperity among minorities.
Georgia is home to nearly one million Latinos (11% of the Atlanta Metro area population), among the top 10 states with the largest Hispanic populations. Prospera specializes in helping Hispanics, especially immigrants, learn how to do business effectively in the U.S., saving them time and money and increasing their likelihood of succeeding.
For over 30 years, Prospera’s model has produced excellent results. Prospera’s potential impact on Hispanic business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs in the Atlanta metro area can play a major role in addressing wealth creation and equity for Georgia’s vibrant Hispanic community.
