North Carolina
Prospera’s North Carolina office opened in July 2017 in Charlotte, within Mecklenburg County and co-located with the Latin American Chamber of Commerce of Charlotte (LACCC). It was Prospera’s first office outside of the state of Florida. Prospera later established an office in Raleigh in 2021 to serve the Research Triangle Area, located within the offices of partner organization, the Rural Center. Prospera serves all of the state of North Carolina from those two offices, with occasional scheduled visits to rural areas and other cities such as Wilmington and Durham.
The generous financial support of private and public funders has allowed Prospera to launch and grow its presence in North Carolina. Some of those funders are the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, State of North Carolina, City of Charlotte, Wells Fargo, Mecklenburg County, NC IDEA Foundation, Bank of America, Truist, the Hispanic Federation, Duke Energy, Fifth Third, Z Smith Reynolds Foundation, First Citizens Bank, among others.
