Jonathon and Marcos Mesón are brothers who share more than their upbringing. They share a passion for providing others with unique and fun outlets for creativity, as well as an entrepreneurial spirit. This, combined with their extensive skills and experience in software engineering, visual design, and motion graphics, led them to form their own business.
In 2010 they created Visual Blasters, an application development company that offers high quality, intuitive apps that create communities around people’s passions and creative pursuits such as music, animation and games. A couple of years later, youngest brother Tim Mesón joined the startup, adding his knowledge of mobile apps and web development. Visual Blasters has achieved great success with the launches of each of their apps, XiiaLive and FlipaClip. With millions of downloads each, these apps exemplify the company’s commitment to combine a laser-focus on ease of use and simplicity, a robust set of features, and a platform that ensures products scale effortlessly.
The Mesón brothers came to Prospera seeking support to continue their success in the app development industry. They received a grant for a business plan that provided the company with a detailed strategy for future growth. Since receiving the grant, the company has grown in size and it recently reached 5.5 million downloads and 550,000 active monthly users with FlipaClip. With the guidance of the business plan and their consultant, Visual Blasters has been able to continue making the world a better place by helping people express their creativity, discover music, and have fun while doing it.
