Prospera delegation to offer professional business development services in Spanish
(ORLANDO, FL) January 5, 2017 – On Jan. 30 and 31 Hispanic entrepreneurs in Florida’s southwest region will have the opportunity to participate in business seminars and individual sessions with business consultants, at no charge. Working in collaboration with local Hispanic leaders and volunteers, Prospera has visited the region several times in recent years to provide guidance and resources to current and potential Hispanic business owners. This will be its first visit with its new brand, since until Nov. 2016 the organization was called HBIF, Hispanic Business Initiative Fund.
Individual consulting sessions will be offered from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day and can be carried out in Spanish or English. The seminars will be presented in Spanish each day from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at United Way of Collier County, at 9015 Strada Stell Court, Suite 204, in Naples. Monday’s will focus on orientation for startups, covering topics such as licenses and permits, state regulations and financing options. Tuesday’s seminar will focus on marketing through social media and digital marketing.
Prospera is an economic development organization specialized in providing free bilingual assistance to Hispanic entrepreneurs trying to establish or expand their businesses. The 25-year-old nonprofit organization has offices in the Tampa, Orlando and Miami metro areas. Its services are all free of cost to entrepreneurs thanks to funds received from private and public funders. Prospera programs are designed to meet the specific needs of Hispanic entrepreneurs and include business seminars, consulting, grants and access to capital.
