Clay World has offered services to develop and improve children’s fine motor skills, capabilities and creative expression by exploring the art of clay modeling, clay animation and Sugar Art. The business currently provides its services to several elementary schools in Miami and New York. They also offer birthday parties, camps and workshops for individuals and groups. Additionally and with its second line of business, Cake World, they sell clay figurines, cake decorations, lessons and kits to practice clay modeling at home.
Spouses Jorge Cruz and Johanna Morales are creative Colombian architects and artists with global experience who in 2009 established Clay World and Cake World. In recent months, they sought assistance from Prospera for accounting and marketing. After working with a consultant, they were provided grants for QuickBooks® dedicated consulting and a marketing plan. The first would provide them with tools to more effectively manage their finances and accounting and make better-informed financial decisions. The latter would help them identify key audiences and establish a plan to reach more potential clients.
