Originally from Puerto Rico, Lillianis Cruz is the Founder and Executive Director of Hope Counseling of Central FL, LLC in Orlando since 2016. Although she always felt happy and accomplished with her career as an entrepreneur, Lillianis was hoping to find for an extra boost to be able to push her business to the next level.
In August 2021 she reached out to our organization for guidance and resources to advance her business. Today, Lillianis has seen a significant increase in her revenue and is frequently receiving numerous new clients. Although Covid-19 has been detrimental to many businesses, it has had quite the opposite effect on Hope Counseling of Central FL. As mental health became a hot topic during the lockdown, more people sought out therapy and mental health services. By adopting telehealth as a new medium to deliver her services, Lillianis was able to quickly pivot her business, overcome the challenges of the pandemic restrictions, and improve her capacity to serve more clients as her counseling services continued to become more popular.
As an experienced professional in her field, Lillianis is confident to share this piece of mental health advice with everyone – “go for it and, if you do not know how, seek help from those who do.” Also, she recommends individuals not let the external voices of society dictate their capabilities.
