On April 18 and 19, Hispanic entrepreneurs in Jacksonville, FL had the opportunity to receive personalized, individual advice from Prospera business development consultants as well as participate in a seminar on securing contracts with the federal government, for free. The event was presented in collaboration with the SBA and the SBDC. This was our first visit to the region since the rebranding of Hispanic Business Initiative Fund (HBIF) to Prospera.
Individual business consulting sessions were offered each day in Spanish and English. Wednesday’s seminar, titled “Contracts with the Federal Government,” was presented by Carmen E. Gonzalez, SBA Business Opportunity Specialist, who discussed opportunities and requirements for small business owners.
Also in April 2017, Prospera participated in a Minority Business Roundtable Discussion hosted by SBA in Jacksonville. You can read a recap of the roundtable discussion here: SBA Roundtable Notes – May 2017 and see photos from the event here.
