Client Spotlight: Alex Auto Motors and Master’s Touch House Cleaning Service

    By Joanna Silvestri | home, north carolina | Comments are Closed | 16 February, 2022 | 0

North Carolina clients: Marina Rodezno and Luis Alex Guizado

Marina Rodezno from Guatemala is the owner of Master’s Touch House Cleaning Service, LLC. Her husband, Luis Alex Guizado, is from Ecuador and the owner of Alex Auto Motors, LLC. Both businesses are located in Charlotte, NC.

Before becoming a business owner, Marina was working nonstop and couldn’t spend much time with her family. She wanted to become her own boss to control her work hours and have more free time to spend with her son and soon-to-be-born daughter. In the meantime, Alex had dedicated over 12 years working Monday to Sunday for a company, yet when he got sick during the pandemic, he felt mistreated as an employee. Consequently, he decided to switch jobs and became a business partner at a dealership. This made Alex much happier and soon thereafter, he also chose to become his own boss.

When Marina and Alex were looking for guidance to improve both businesses, Prospera client Odalma Madrid referred them to our organization. Prospera provided Marina and Alex with guidance, resources, and tools to succeed in their entrepreneurial journeys. Moreover, after attending a Prospera business seminar, Marina felt strongly about working closely with the organization. “I love how every [Prospera staff member] is always so nice and gets back to you so quickly when one needs assistance,” stated Marina.

Marina and Alex recommend that other Hispanic entrepreneurs look for a partner like Prospera, “who give you advice and plan for you to achieve the next step in the journey.” They also recommend avoiding being afraid of failure and instead focusing on trying to succeed. Both owners mentioned how fear is always going to be a part of the journey but deciding to shut it down and work towards your desire to succeed is the priority. For the future, the couple wants Alex Auto Motors to grow its English-speaking clientele, continue delivering personalized bilingual services to the Hispanic community, and purchase the location where they currently rent. For Master’s Touch House Cleaning Service, they hope to grow their staff to increase operations commercially.
