Good News! Book Fair was created by a devoted Christian family whose business activity aligns with the Catholic vision. The goal of this family was to bring inspiring, fun, and entertaining Christian books and movies to students, parents, teachers, and organizations. The business focuses on traveling book fairs that promote literacy, Christian values, and Catholic education. Founder Lizette Lantigua was previously a newspaper reporter, writer, and Emmy-nominated television producer in South Florida. Combining her knowledge of retail, journalism, and her passion to inspire others to read, she created Good News! Book Fair.
In 2014, Lizette and her husband Adolfo came to Prospera in hopes of beginning a faith-based book distribution. At the time, they had no financial planning and were seeking guidance on financial planning strategies. With Prospera’s direction, they started their business and were able to organize their first book fair. Three years later, they returned to Prospera with a high increase in business sales but seeking guidance in the right direction. The clients were awarded with business and marketing plans.
Last year, both Lizette and Adolfo graduated from Prospera’s Technology Academy, organized with City of Miami. They also attended this year’s Provider’s Academy. Recently, they received an accounting assessment grant that will give them a better understanding of the numbers behind the business and what they mean for the future. In addition, Prospera is currently working with the client in a loan facilitation process to obtain capital.
Good News! Book Fair has seven book fairs planned during the next year across the United States and is working with 25 different publishers. For more information, visit http://www.goodnewsbookfair.com/.
