More Local Business Owners Receive Assistance
On June 26 and 27, Hispanic entrepreneurs in Charlotte, North Carolina, benefited from Prospera’s services. Thanks to the support of Bank of America, Wells Fargo and BB&T, entrepreneurs received business consulting and participated in an orientation on starting a business.
Prospera provided personalized consulting to over 10 entrepreneurs and small business owners during the latest visit, surpassing 150 entrepreneurs served during four visits to Charlotte since August 2016. Individual consulting is critical to helping individuals assess opportunities, overcome challenges and receive essential information to start and develop their businesses. During the orientation, attendees learned about topics such as licenses and permits, state regulations, and financing options.
“Before meeting with Prospera I felt lost about all the different ideas I had on how to start a new business. I will be forever grateful to Prospera for the support and guidance I received through the business consulting meetings. I have no doubt that they will be the most important people in the journey of opening my own business,” said entrepreneur Tania Mendez.
This was Prospera’s last visit to Charlotte before it opens a local office in mid-July to offer year-round services. The office will be located at the facilities of the Latin American Chamber of Commerce of Charlotte (LACCC).
