Prospera Regional Board Chair Thais Asper Keane works for AT&T as Regional Director. Beyond her role, Thais contributes her time, talent, treasure, ties, and testimonials to help Prospera deliver services to more clients, support our staff, and represent our brand in the South Florida community. What are your workplace/organization’s mission and products/services?
At AT&T, our purpose is to create connection – a connection to friends, family, work, commerce, education, health, entertainment and more. To deliver on that purpose, we’re driving our business forward with two key areas of focus – 5G and fiber. We serve more than 100 million Americans with communications experiences across mobile and broadband through a variety of platforms to provide high-speed connectivity.
What motivated you to serve on Prospera’s board as a volunteer?
I enjoy being part of an organization that helps Hispanic small businesses owners take full advantage in succeeding in the United States and helping them make their dreams a reality.
What have you enjoyed the most so far about serving on Prospera’s board?
The camaraderie between clients and staff and knowing that we are all working toward the same goal, helping Hispanic entrepreneurs succeed and grow their businesses.
What would you most like the local community to know about Prospera?
Prospera is here to educate and guide small business owners, especially in the Hispanic community, so they can make an impact in their city, and state.

Resilient, Tenacious & Collaborative
What is the most important lesson you’ve learned throughout your career?
I have learned at various points in my career that hard work does pay off, and every day provides you an opportunity to continue to grow and learn from others.
How do you achieve work/life balance?
As they say, “If you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life.” I am very blessed to have a job that I love, and I am surrounded by people who love me, husband, family, and friends, and enjoy both every single day. This makes it easy for me to achieve a perfect balance.

X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, and Instagram.
What is one item still on your bucket list?
Traveling to Antarctica with my husband. That would complete our visit to all 7 continents.
