Jenny Torres, Vice President of Service Center Operations at Suncoast Credit Union, is a passionate and driven leader in Florida’s financial sector. What is your workplace/organization’s mission and products/services?
Our mission is simple — to improve the quality of our members’ lives by maintaining a strong, secure, and innovative credit union.

What have you enjoyed the most so far about serving on Prospera’s board?
Serving on this board allows me to contribute to a cause that drives meaningful and lasting change in the community. It provides an opportunity to collaborate with professionals, community leaders, and industry experts who share the same vision of making a positive impact. It also helps strengthen my advocacy skills while supporting Hispanic entrepreneurship and aligning with Suncoast’s values.
What would you most like the local community to know about Prospera?

I’ve learned that true success comes from building meaningful relationships and always putting people first.
How do you achieve work/life balance?
I set clear boundaries, stay organized, and make time for my family and well-being. Being present and intentional helps me maintain balance.
How do you stay informed about trends in your industry?
I stay connected through professional networks, conferences, webinars, publications, and thought leaders in the credit union space.
Where is your favorite place to have a meeting outside of the office?
A local coffee shop or café—great ambiance, casual connection, and a nice way to support local businesses.

What is one item still on your bucket list?
