Central Florida Client: Jessica Cruz y Daniel Marsant
Jessica Cruz and Daniel Marsant are the owners of Magnificent Hauling, LLC, a construction, machinery, and heavy equipment transportation business established in January 2018. As with most small businesses, the COVID-19 pandemic has become a great challenge. However, since the transportation industry has been classified as essential during the crisis, Jessica and Daniel have learned to take advantage of the situation and grow their business during this difficult time.
Amidst the crisis, Jessica and Daniel have been able to reinforce Magnificent Hauling’s quest for contracts with a new application form to increase and diversify existing clients and the materials to be transported. They have also expanded their delivery area to new locations within Florida, exchanged clerical and training services for an additional truck under their company name, managed reservations a week ahead of schedule, communicated directly with brokers for week-long projects instead of daily, and adopted a new payment system through QuickPay. With these new approaches and improved processes, Magnificent Hauling has been able to obtain bigger and better contracts, as well as shorten wait times from about one month to less than one week.
Jessica and Daniel have attended Prospera business seminars since late 2017 to learn about establishing a new business in Central Florida, QuickBooks®, and other topics. They have also worked closely with a Prospera business consultant and were awarded a business plan for operations to further develop Magnificent Hauling, during and after the pandemic.
Although the COVID-19 crisis has affected small business owners tremendously, some have been able to take advantage of the situation to grow and strengthen their business. If your business has been negatively impacted, please contact your local Prospera office to speak with one of our consultants and see how you can adapt your business or receive guidance about the different relief programs available.
