South Florida Clients: Gloria Martinez and Edmerson Vazquez
Dominican spouses Gloria Martinez and Edmerson Vazquez are the owners of 3Cycle, a company that offers a one-stop shop for all recycling and data destruction needs. Established in 2016, 3Cycle recycles a variety of electronics, including broadband equipment, computers, smartphones, and electrical cables. The company’s headquarters are located in Doral, Florida, with additional offices in Panama, Costa Rica, Chile, and the Dominican Republic.
3Cycle is devoted to the planet and the community. Starting with their name, they emphasize the 3R’s of the recycling process: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle, to highlighting the environmental nature of the business. 3Cycle also believes in giving back to the community and supporting several causes, including Autism Speaks, The Ocean Clean Up, and Foster & Adoptive Association.
In 2016, Gloria and Edmerson sought Prospera’s guidance to manage their business’ growth. After participating in several entrepreneurial seminars and receiving personalized guidance, they made changes to their decision-making processes and corporate structure. Given their outstanding achievements for this and their second business, Gloria and Edmerson were recognized as honorees at the 2019 Prospera Success Stories Luncheon.
Prospera continues helping 3Cycle to take advantage of opportunities to advance, including local contract opportunities with government and private corporations. In this process, Prospera is helping 3Cycle develop a capability statement and guiding them through the requirements, documentation, and bidding processes for procurement.
3Cycle is proof that businesses can grow while giving back to their communities and protecting the environment. With Prospera’s help, Gloria and Edmerson continue growing their business while turning waste into treasure and making a positive impact in South Florida and beyond.
