Originally from Puerto Rico, Lorena Martinez and her husband Luis Ramirez, are the owners of Daisy’s Party Rentals, in Kissimmee since 2017. They offer party and event furniture rentals for weddings, corporate events, award ceremonies, and other special occasions. Although Luis has been a Paramedic in Lake County since 2014, he’s still a permanent support for his wife and their business, handling the accounting of Daisy’s Party Rentals. Lorena, backed by a diploma from the Institute of Wedding and Event Design, manages all their commercial operations and event services.
With hard work and dedication, the couple built a reputable business in their community for their superb quality and excellent service. Despite great customer reviews, they identified an opportunity to improve their branding and other aspects of their business, for which they needed professional assistance. Advised by the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce, Lorena and Luis approached Prospera in March 2021. Since then, they have received personalized business consulting and guidance to develop an effective brand. Prospera also awarded them with business advancement services to develop an efficient business plan and to implement QuickBooks® to improve their bookkeeping practices. Daisy’s Party Rentals has shown sustained growth and added three new employees, for a current total of five staff members.
Daisy’s Party Rentals has almost doubled its revenue since the last year and has been recognized by prestigious awards from the Central Florida Hispanic entrepreneurial community. In 2022, they were nominated for a Don Quijote Award. They also won an El Josco Award and earned recognition from the Latinos Pro. Lorena and Luis attribute part of their success in running a business together to how much they focus on maintaining a respectful relationship and partnership between them.
