What is your workplace’s mission and services?

I work for the City of Norcross’ Economic Development department. Our role is serving as the business champion for Norcross. We focus on spurring investment that leads to job growth, increasing the tax base, and enhancing the overall economy and quality of life. We accomplish this through business retention, expansion, and recruitment efforts.

What motivated you to serve on Prospera’s board as a volunteer?

Being in Norcross, it’s easy to see the impact the Latino community has on the business environment. Volunteering with Prospera is a way to further support the shared mission of empowering local entrepreneurs. Once I learned more about the impact Prospera has on the community and heard testimonials from former clients, I knew the work being done here was truly important.

What would you like the community to know about Prospera?

I want the community to know that there is an incredible free resource called Prospera! It’s not often that you get the opportunity to learn about business, step by step, with subject matter experts in your native language.

How do you stay informed about trends in your industry?

I stay up to date mostly by participating with professional organizations such as the Georgia Economic Developers Association and the International Economic Development Council. I also frequently read industry publications like CoStar, Georgia Trend, and Atlanta Business Chronicle.

What is your favorite place to have a meeting outside of the office?

The best place for meetings outside of the office is anywhere over lunch, especially a good local spot like Mojitos or The Crossing.

What is one item still on your bucket list?

A bucket list item for me is an African safari to see the variety of wildlife.

Will’s dedication to fostering economic growth and supporting Hispanic entrepreneurs demonstrates his passion for building strong, inclusive communities. At Prospera, we are grateful for his leadership and invaluable contributions to our mission!
