What is your workplace’s mission and products/services?
At eSmart Recycling, our mission is simple: we aim to bridge the digital divide by providing communities with the tools, training, and resources they need to thrive in today’s digital world. We specialize in sustainable electronics recycling, refurbishing devices, and redistributing them to underserved families in the community. Our services not only provide a more sustainable solution to e-waste but also empower people by giving them the opportunity to access technology that can enhance their education and career opportunities.
What motivated you to serve on Prospera’s Regional Board as a volunteer?
Prospera played a role in my growth when I started my company. Having been a recipient of business advancement services and being showcased as a Prospera Success Story Honoree back in 2015 positioned us in the right direction for growth. Prospera’s mission to support entrepreneurs aligns deeply with my values at eSmart Recycling, where we focus on sustainability and empowerment. Volunteering on Prospera’s Regional Board allows me to contribute to a cause that’s making a meaningful impact on local businesses and entrepreneurs, while also bringing a broader sense of opportunity and growth to the community.
What have you enjoyed the most so far about serving on Prospera’s Regional Board?
What’s been most rewarding is seeing firsthand the transformative impact Prospera has on small businesses. It’s inspiring to work alongside a group of like-minded individuals who are dedicated to lifting others and helping them succeed. The collaborative energy within the board and with the entrepreneurs we support is truly motivating.
What would you most like the community to know about Prospera?
I want the community to know that Prospera is more than just an organization; it’s a platform for empowerment. They support entrepreneurs in everything they need to turn their ideas into sustainable businesses. Prospera is dedicated to fostering long-term success and prosperity, and they do it with a deep commitment to the people they serve.
Which social media platform do you use most frequently?
I’m most active on LinkedIn. It’s a great place to connect with industry professionals, share industry insights, and stay updated on innovations and trends in both the recycling and social entrepreneurship sectors.
Tony’s entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to innovation make him a valued voice on Prospera’s Regional Board. We’re proud to work alongside him in building stronger communities and fostering access to resources and opportunities.
