What is the most important lesson you’ve learned throughout your career?

In a world that thrives on diversity, celebrating your unique voice is transformative in a professional space. When you bring your authentic self to the table, you enrich the tapestry of relationships around you. It is important, however, to be a champion for other voices and to empower others to contribute to the environment of collaboration and teamwork. Every individual has a unique story, and when you embrace that mindset, this becomes a powerful catalyst for progress, fostering connection that inspires and uplifts. “People might not remember what you did for them, but they will remember how you made them feel.”

How do you achieve work/life balance?

There’s no perfect formula for work-life balance. I’ve recognized that prioritizing my family, my well-being, and my community has been key to structuring what is most important in my life. When your focus is on cherishing your priorities and assuring that those come first, work-life balance is manageable. Find joy and fulfillment in all your roles, and remember to set boundaries where needed. I have learned that “no” is also an answer, and it’s better to pour from a full cup than an empty one.

Which social media platform do you use most frequently?

I am a big fan of Instagram. It helps me stay connected with friends and family who live all over the place. It is such a great tool to keep up with those I care about. I love sharing moments, celebrating special occasions, and getting glimpses into everyone’s corner of the world.

What is one item still on your bucket list?

My husband and I want to live abroad for a period of time. We are open to any country, since we love to experience new cultures; we fell in love with Japan and have added that to the ever-growing list of countries we might move to in the future.

What would you most like the community to know about Prospera?

I want the community to understand that Prospera is an incredible organization dedicated to transforming small businesses. Their unwavering support and dedication to uplifting our local entrepreneurs inspire positive change and growth, creating a pathway where dreams can flourish. I am deeply grateful for their efforts and the impact they have on our community, as they continue to pave the way for success and opportunity for us all.

Maleny’s authentic leadership and community spirit make her a valued contributor to Prospera’s mission. We’re proud to work alongside her to help build stronger communities in Georgia.
