Juan Cruz, CEO of Jua Jua Cleaning, is not only a successful entrepreneur but also a proud Prospera client turned regional board member. Since receiving support from Prospera in 2018, Juan has significantly expanded his business, which now offers janitorial services, pressure washing, Christmas lights installation, and concrete polishing through its sister company, Substrate. Recently welcomed to Prospera North Carolina Regional Board, Juan is committed to giving back to the organization that supported his growth and to empowering fellow Hispanic entrepreneurs. What are your company’s mission and products/services?
We are a cleaning company that provides janitorial services, pressure washing, and Christmas lights installation. Additionally, we own Substrate, which specializes in concrete polishing and epoxy flooring.
What motivated you to serve as a Prospera volunteer?
Prospera helped me tremendously when I was starting.
What have you enjoyed the most so far about serving on Prospera’s board?
The friendships feel like true relationships.
What would you most like the local community to know about Prospera?
They mean what they say and are behind you every step of the way.

What is the most important lesson you’ve learned throughout your career?
Choose carefully who you are open-hearted with.

I have a great team.

LinkedIn is my go-to.
Where is your favorite place to have a meeting outside of the office?
I don’t like meetings—they’re boring. I prefer to go on car rides and get the job done on the go.

There are many items still on my bucket list!
