What are your workplace or organization’s mission and products or services?
The Truist mission is to inspire and build better lives and communities. Truist offers a wide range of banking products and solutions to support individuals, businesses, and communities.
What motivated you to serve on Prospera’s board as a volunteer?
What motivated me to serve on Prospera’s TAC committee is my strong belief in its mission and the real impact it has on entrepreneurs and communities. After more than 15 years of partnering with Prospera, I’ve seen firsthand how their work helps small businesses start, grow, and thrive.
Serving on the TAC board is a meaningful way for me to give back, support economic opportunity, and help extend that impact to more families and communities.
What have you enjoyed the most so far about serving on Prospera’s board?
What I enjoy most is the opportunity to collaborate with passionate, purpose-driven leaders who are truly committed to giving back to the community. The work is deeply rewarding, and the friendships I’ve built with people who share the same desire to create opportunity and uplift others have been equally meaningful.
Being surrounded by individuals who inspire service, leadership, and long-term impact makes this experience both fulfilling and energizing.
What would you most like the local community to know about Prospera?
What I’d most like the community to know about Prospera is the genuine passion behind its work. Prospera is deeply committed to helping small businesses succeed by providing trusted guidance, resources, and support at every stage of the entrepreneurial journey.

Purpose-driven, community-focused, impact-oriented.
What is the most important lesson you’ve learned throughout your career?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is that when you invest in people and believe in their potential, incredible things can happen. Everyone has the ability to reach their goals when they are given the right support, encouragement, and opportunities.
Being part of that journey for others has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my career.
How do you achieve work-life balance?
I achieve work-life balance by being intentional with my time and priorities. I stay focused and committed in my career while making sure to protect time to be present with my family, which keeps me grounded and energized.
Balancing both matters to me. Success at work is more meaningful when it is paired with quality time with the people who matter most.
How do you stay informed about trends in your industry?
I stay informed by remaining actively engaged in the community and involved with a variety of organizations. Being connected to nonprofit leaders, business owners, and industry peers allows me to learn from real-time experiences, exchange ideas, and stay aware of emerging trends.
Where is your favorite place to have a meeting outside of the office?
My favorite place to have a meeting outside of the office is at a local small business. It allows me to support entrepreneurs while staying connected to the community. Meeting in these spaces helps build stronger relationships and reinforces my commitment to helping small businesses thrive.
What is one item still on your bucket list?
One item on my bucket list is to expand my philanthropic impact by helping launch and grow initiatives that create long-term opportunity for communities. Through my work at Truist, I’m passionate about aligning professional efforts with meaningful philanthropy that drives lasting, positive change.
