What is your workplace’s mission and what services do you provide?

JPMorgan Chase is a financial institution dedicated to serving our communities and creating opportunities for financial growth worldwide.

What motivated you to serve on Prospera’s Regional Board as a volunteer?

Prospera’s mission resonates with my personal passion for supporting the small business community on their entrepreneurial journey. This passion is deeply rooted in my family’s legacy of small business ownership and my firsthand experience of their struggles to grow due to a lack of knowledge, understanding of resources, and trust in the financial system.

What have you enjoyed the most so far about serving on Prospera’s Regional Board?

Experiencing the quality of work and resources that Prospera offers our community and having an opportunity to be part of the conversation.

What would you most like the community to know about Prospera?

I want the community to understand that Prospera is deliberate in its use of resources, deeply committed to its mission, and represented by a team of professionals who take a personal interest in their clients’ success. This dedication is undoubtedly a result of Myrna’s unwavering and relentless leadership.

Which are the three words that best describe you?

Passionate, relentless, and grateful.

How do you achieve work/life balance?

There is no perfect plan for work/life balance—it is a personal choice made daily. At times, you can plan for it, but there are moments (both at work and at home) when life unfolds unexpectedly, and you must find the balance. Sometimes you prioritize home and sometimes you prioritize work based on personal priority, preference, or urgency. All are okay.

How do you stay informed about trends in your industry?

Media and news (all formats—read/listen), podcasts, TED Talks.

Alicia’s commitment to economic empowerment and her community-centered approach strengthen Prospera’s impact in South Florida. Her leadership reflects the power of turning personal experience into action that uplifts others. At Prospera, we are grateful for her support and vision!
