North Carolina Client: Cecilia Carrion
Originally from Peru, Cecilia Carrion has been the owner of CC&P Business Essentials in Charlotte since 2018. Recognizing the need for professional services among Latino immigrant entrepreneurs, Cecilia was inspired to establish her own business. Her vision was to become the go-to, bilingual expert on taxes, insurance, bookkeeping, and other administrative services for local, Latino small business owners.
When Cecilia first started the business, she had nearly enough capital for the launch and early stages. Getting out of debt and making profits was very challenging, but with strong will and determination she persevered. Intrigued by Prospera’s impact on the Latino community, Cecilia sought the organization’s assistance to access capital.
Prospera provided her with invaluable support, including dedicated business consulting, access to resources, and referrals to help advance her business. As Cecilia’s relationship with Prospera strengthened, she was invited to speak at Prospera’s business seminars. Eventually, she applied and became a Technical Assistance Provider for local Prospera clients, fueled by her commitment to support Latino-owned businesses.
Today, CC&P Business Essentials’ clients express trust and gratitude, thanks to the nurturing and supportive work environment Cecilia and her team have created as they aim to connect with each client personally to ensure their needs are met and their goals are achieved. Cecilia plans for continued business growth and success, knowing she counts on Prospera’s help along the way. As her business and values align with Prospera’s mission to advance Hispanic-owned businesses for community prosperity, the collaboration and partnership will continue for reciprocal growth and success.
