SMALL BUSINESS SPECIALIST – WEST COAST OF Florida
Prospera is recruiting a full-time, non-exempt Small Business Specialist who will report to the West Coast of Florida Regional Vice President.

We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Small Business Specialist to support our consulting team in the West Coast of Florida. In this role, you will assist with client communications, educational programming, outreach, and regional operations, while playing a key part in maintaining service excellence and supporting the success of entrepreneurs.
Working closely with the Regional Vice President and Small Business Consultants, you will help implement Prospera’s proven economic development model. This position offers hands-on experience and opportunities for growth while engaging with clients, volunteers, partners, and community leaders.
Responsibilities:
Consulting and client support:
- Support Small Business Consultants in client communications and follow-ups based on entrepreneur development plans
- Assist with scheduling and preparing for client and provider meetings
- Attend outreach, networking, and community events as a representative of Prospera
- Prepare documentation and materials for committee meetings and presentations
- Maintain accurate and timely data entry in CRM systems
- Assist with regional compliance and reporting duties
Educational Program Coordination:
- Support the coordination of educational programs and seminars for entrepreneurs
- Collaborate with the Education Committee and Small Business Consultants
- Manage venue logistics and seminar set-up (including participant and presenter materials)
- Evaluate seminar speakers and coordinate post-event follow-up with all stakeholders
Regional Outreach & Special Projects:
- Collaborate with the Marketing Team on regional social media and communication initiatives
- Assist in cultivating a culture of philanthropy among clients, volunteers, and community members
- Support internship program operations
- Complete other projects and tasks as assigned by the Regional Vice President
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or having completed a post-secondary degree in business, public administration, finance, marketing, or a related field
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (verbal and written)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to build rapport and maintain professional relationships
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Professional demeanor and reliable transportation with valid driver’s license
- Must pass pre-employment background and reference checks
