South Florida Client: Lucho Migneco
In his native Venezuela, Lucho Migneco owned and ran a bicycle manufacturing and distribution business for many years. A few years ago, he decided to move to Miami to start a new life as an immigrant entrepreneur. In 2018, Lucho came to Prospera seeking guidance to start a new business. Since then, Lucho has been working with a Business Consultant to identify different opportunities. He attended Prospera seminars on various topics such as orientation for startups and QuickBooks®, and he also graduated from the Import/Export Academy presented in collaboration with City of Doral. Lucho understood that continuous education was key to become a business owner in a new market.
In October 2019, Lucho opened Mater Tiles in Doral, a well-established company that offers high quality tiles and mosaics for both kitchens and bathrooms, with a large variety of materials imported from Spain, India, Italy and Portugal. Prospera awarded Lucho and Mater Tiles grants for QuickBooks® consulting and branding, which empowered him with a brand new corporate image and marketing materials to help promote his business. In addition, Lucho has recently received a business plan for operations that will help him continue to grow and expand Mater Tiles.
“I am deeply thankful to Prospera, because they have been supporting my dream for more than two years. I am proud to share that my dream has come true,”, says Lucho Migneco, owner of Mater Titles.
