Opening Doors to Educational Equity

Inspired by their Mexican and Cuban heritage, entrepreneurs Araseli Martinez Peña and Eveelen Garcia founded AIRE, Latinx Education Equity & Advocacy Firm to break barriers for Latino students and global learners.

After witnessing firsthand how limited information and support hindered opportunities for students with international backgrounds, they set out to empower schools, counselors, and students with the tools and knowledge needed for accurate credential evaluation.

Building a Strong Foundation with Prospera’s Support

While passion and expertise fueled the launch of AIRE, Araseli and Eveelen knew they needed strategic support to grow sustainably. They turned to Prospera at a critical moment, where they found the personalized consulting, mentorship, and expert network they needed to refine their business model and clarify their path forward.

“Prospera not only believed in our vision but also empowered us to navigate the complexities of entrepreneurship with confidence and clarity,” they share.

Expanding Their Reach

Today, AIRE is thriving—working with school districts across the country to better serve global learners and expand access to education. With Prospera’s guidance and their own leadership, Araseli and Eveelen have built a company that is opening doors and changing lives.

Looking ahead, they are committed to scaling AIRE’s impact even further, ensuring that more schools, counselors, and administrators understand the importance of accurate credential evaluations in shaping student futures.

Advice for Hispanic Entrepreneurs

“Break the cycle of giving up on your business in the first year,” they advise. “The difference between those who make it and those who don’t is the ability to push through challenges with the right support system. Prospera is that support system. They provide not just knowledge and resources, but a community that believes in you and your vision.”

“Stay committed, stay resilient, and never stop believing in the impact of your work. The journey is worth it, and the lives you touch along the way will be your greatest reward.” To learn more about AIRE, Latinx Education Equity & Advocacy Firm, visit their website: aireedequity.org.
