Venezuelan couple Gabriela Lopez and Eduardo Carrizo own Health and Life Insurance Group, LLC, doing business as Bienestar Insurance. With professional backgrounds in business administration and computer science, respectively, and over four years of experience in the U.S. insurance industry, they were motivated to start a family-operated venture. Since moving to the U.S. six years ago, they have leveraged their skills and experience to serve the Hispanic community in Lawrenceville, Georgia, offering life, financial, health, and other insurance services since March 2023.
In February 2024, Gabriela and Eduardo were referred to Prospera, seeking professional guidance to grow their business and better connect with their Hispanic clientele. Prospera awarded them a business advancement service to develop an optimized branding kit for Bienestar Insurance. Additionally, the organization helped update their business plan, enhance their financial practices, and prepare for access to capital.

Today, Gabriela and Eduardo continue working to reach numerous Hispanic families and assist them in making the best insurance decisions. Driven by a desire to help other Hispanics improve their lives, they hope to create job opportunities in Georgia and develop as insurance advisors in the United States.
