His perspective highlights the importance of community partnerships and continuous learning in driving sustainable growth. Keep on reading to get to know him.
What would you most like the community to know about Prospera?
Transparently, Prospera was not on my radar until I began my role with the City of Brookhaven in late August. I quickly learned about the wide range of advocacy services Prospera offers, specifically for small businesses.
I think most entrepreneurs are very skilled at what they do, but may not be as well-versed in business operations in general. This can be especially challenging when language barriers exist. Having an advocacy organization like Prospera is essential in creating a vibrant business community where everyone can succeed.
What is the most important lesson you’ve learned throughout your career?
There are actually two things I believe are vital to a successful career. The first is placing the highest value on creating and maintaining good relationships with everyone you come in contact with. Nothing can replace kindness and reliability.
The second is the importance of not being complacent. Always wanting to learn more and develop a variety of skills is something worth investing time and energy in.
How do you achieve work/life balance?
I am a husband and a dad of two girls, ages 4 and 1. All three of them make it incredibly easy to keep my mind off work when I’m not at work.
How do you stay informed about trends in your industry?
I keep an eye on the Atlanta Business Chronicle and am active in professional organizations within the economic development and commercial real estate industries.
I also make it a point to have meaningful conversations, whether in person or over the phone, about market and industry trends with colleagues at least twice a week. Nothing beats dialogue and sharing insights with others.
What is one item still on your bucket list?
I have really taken an interest in the watch industry over the past few years. I’m equally fascinated by the mechanics of watches as well as their aesthetics. I’d love to eventually become more involved in the industry and gain insider knowledge of the watch world.
Aaron’s leadership and community-driven mindset continue to contribute to Prospera’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurs and fostering economic development in Georgia. His passion for collaboration and growth exemplifies the spirit of service that defines Prospera’s Regional Board Members.
