Georgia Client: David Idrobo
Crafting Authentic Colombian Flavor in Georgia
Colombian entrepreneur David Idrobo launched Chorizos Rosano in 2023, driven by his passion for cooking and a deep love for traditional Colombian cuisine. What began as a way to share a familiar taste with friends and family has grown into a small business producing artisanal pork sausages for customers across the region.
With over nine years of experience in the restaurant industry and formal culinary training from the Aprende Institute in Mexico City, David blends skill with tradition to deliver a truly authentic product. Based in Pendergrass, Georgia, Chorizos Rosano is a growing presence in the artisan food landscape, reflecting David’s commitment to quality, heritage, and culinary excellence.
Strengthening His Business with Prospera
David was referred to Prospera in December 2024 through the Latin American Association’s Avanzando Juntos program. At the time, he was focused on expanding his reach and building a stronger marketing strategy. Through personalized consulting, Prospera helped him evaluate his business model and identify key areas for improvement.
He was awarded business advancement services for a branding kit and legal assessment, which gave him the tools to develop a more professional identity and ensure his business operates in full compliance. With Prospera’s guidance and support, David developed a clear action plan focused on expansion, product development, and long-term sustainability.
“Prospera played a key role in helping me see my business through a strategic lens,” David shares. “Through the organization’s personalized business consulting and seminars, I was able to identify untapped markets, refine my brand positioning, and develop a more resilient business model.”
Looking Ahead
Since working with Prospera, David has sharpened his operations and grown his confidence as a business owner. As he looks to the future, he plans to grow his distribution, introduce new product lines, and eventually open a flagship location that highlights his culinary vision.
“My future plans are focused on scaling my business while staying true to the artisanal roots that define my products,” he says. “At the heart of everything is a commitment to sustainability, quality, and making a meaningful impact in the community.”
Advice for Other Hispanic Entrepreneurs
“My advice to other entrepreneurs is to seek the right support, stay focused, and never give up,” says David. “With discipline, vision, and a support network like the one Prospera offers, anything is possible.”
From his home kitchen to a growing business in Georgia, David’s journey reflects the determination and vision of many Hispanic entrepreneurs. With a foundation rooted in tradition, strategy, and perseverance—and with Prospera by his side—Chorizos Rosano is ready to keep growing with flavor, purpose, and pride.
