What are your workplace’s mission and services?
Banesco USA is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of our clients and fortifying the future of our communities through innovative banking solutions and personalized service.
What motivated you to serve on Prospera’s board as a volunteer?
I’ve always been motivated to give back to the community that I live and work in. Prospera was the perfect fit for my passion to serve.
What have you enjoyed the most so far about serving on Prospera’s board?
I’ve enjoyed the camaraderie built with the other board members and the hands-on approach we take to help Hispanic-owned businesses in our community.
What would you most like the community to know about Prospera?
I’d like the community to know that Prospera is not just a resource for small, startup companies but also has the scope and product offerings to handle the needs of sophisticated, growing companies.
Which are the three words that best describe you?
Trustworthy, Fair, Empathetic.
What is the most important lesson you’ve learned throughout your career?
It’s a marathon, not a sprint. Knowing when it’s time to put your head down and work, and when it’s time to know your worth and demand your value be recognized is key to a successful career.
How do you achieve work/life balance?
I take my breaks and days off when necessary! Knowing when you’re reaching your internal limit is very important. I prioritize family time and never miss an important event involving my wife or children for work. It resets me and makes me a better professional.
How do you stay informed about trends in your industry?
Talking to friends and colleagues in the industry. Picking someone’s brain that you respect and whose thoughts you value is a “lost art.”
Where is your favorite place to have a meeting outside of the office?
When the weather is mild, anywhere I can have a warm cup of coffee.
Which social media platform do you use most frequently?
Instagram.
What is one item still on your bucket list?
A road trip anywhere I haven’t been. I’d love to RV for a month or more in the southwest or northeast U.S. Jackson Hole, Wyoming, is very much on my list!
Reynaldo’s dedication to empowering small businesses, his commitment to community development, and his passion for making a meaningful impact are evidenced through his volunteer service at Prospera. We are grateful for his leadership and contributions to our mission!
