Boris Ayala is a senior vice president and retail executive of Fifth Third Bank, North Florida. He is responsible for overseeing six regional managers within 76 financial centers across the Tampa, Orlando, and Jacksonville footprints to deliver exceptional service to our customers and make a positive impact in the community.
Boris joined Fifth Third in 2004, prior to his current role as Retail Executive he served as a dual FCM, district manager, and regional manager. Throughout his career at Fifth Third, Boris has worked in Chicago, Tampa, and Orlando. He has earned the President’s Circle award six times. Boris demonstrates a strong belief in teamwork and collaboration across lines of business to achieve common financial objectives. He is passionate about leading individuals and building high performing teams that can achieve new levels of success. He always believes in leading from the front with the core principle that people are the greatest asset of any company.
Boris started his career at Chase then later at Citibank. He accumulated experience with the responsibility of managing and leading an operational call center and as a business banker working with business credit and business development opportunities.
Boris attended University of Illinois. He also participated in a three-year program in the Consumer Bankers Graduate School of Retail Bank Management at Furman University. He was selected and completed the Fifth Third National Leadership Excellence Development Program (LEX).
Boris currently serves as Chair of the Statewide Board of Directors and the Executive Committee for Prospera, an economic development, nonprofit organization that helps start, sustain, and grow Hispanic-owned businesses to achieve community prosperity. With his passion for diversity, Boris held a chair role in Business Resource Groups in both Chicago and Tampa.
Boris and his wife live in Orlando with their two sons. His hobbies include traveling to new places for the culture and professional soccer.
